What is Bohemian Anyway???
First of all, I want to qualify the following little post…I am no fashion expert!! Not a fashion editor, fashionista, or even a trend setter!! But…I do know what I like…that doesn’t make me an expert but it does give me an opinion, which I will happily share with you now 🙂
When we’re talking about fashion, the word Bohemian is used to convey, an attitude and style that says free-spirited.
Called Boho for short, the Bohemian look is earthy and layered, with loose, flowing fashions and accessories that are often made from natural materials like linen and gauzy cotton, wood, stones and leather. Woven items are popular and so are beads that are used to decorate purses, belts or anything else. You can get a feeling for today’s Boho chic look by gazing back at late 1960’s to early 1970’s flower child fashions — not Mod, you definitely want that “hippie” look.
The best thing about the Bohemian look is that nothing has to “match.” The pieces you choose should layer well. They will work together to give you a classy, Boho chic appearance. Vintage jewelry and fashions always have a place in a Bohemian ensemble. Think organic — earthy colors and fabrics. Think relaxed. Think vintage.

Don’t forget to play with lots of accessories too.
Belts, Headbands, Scarves, Sandals, and don’t forget the JEWELRY!!!
And of course…speaking of JEWELRY…
Don’t try to match your jewelry — Boho lets you put styles and colors together in any way that feels right.  Remember the layering rules here as well. Don’t just slip on a single bracelet; go for a whole stack of Bangles. Mix up a combination of Bangles with a Cuff, whatever feels good! You can easily wear gold, silver, copper all at the same time! The addition of leather, shells and stones help to keep it exciting and fun.
Most importantly wear what you love!!!
