Hello 2018 !

New Year, New Dreams!

So much to look forward to in the new year!  I love the start of a fresh year, how about you?  I have never been one for resolutions, but something about looking forward to what can be, setting new intentions while saying goodbye to what has been…. it just feels right.

A Little Travel~

I’m meeting up with some friends in Quartzsite Arizona next weekend and I will be sharing my journey on my social media channels and also posting here so you can see all the fun and behind the scenes shenanigans when it comes to shopping for unique stones, gems, fossils and even some rough material to share with my lapidary artist friends! Really excited to see what unique and unusual treasures I can find for creating new bohemian styled jewelry.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with this 2 month long event,  over 2,000 vendors descend on the old mining town turned desert oasis to create one of the world’s largest open air flea markets. It is quite the place to shop till you drop…if your in to rocks that is!!!

Moon Phase Alert ~~~

January 2nd brings us our first full moon of the year, and the last day, January 31^st, will give us our second full moon of the month ~ you know what that means ~ yes, a Blue Moon in January!!  What a great way to start the year!

Here is a little factual tidbit…Did you know that the phrase “Once in A Blue Moon” dates back almost 400 years, but did not come to describe the second full moon in a month until as recently as the mid 1980’s. Prior to that it was more commonly used to infer a rare occurrence (yes, a blue moon phenomenon is a real thing and can occur when large amounts of smoke and ash are present in the atmosphere.)

Studio Update

I have been working away in the studio and will be introducing some new cuffs soon!!  Super excited to share, but you have to wait until they are done!!

Here is a hint…sterling silver and turquoise … and copper and crystals…. And that is just the beginning my friends….  I have so many new ideas…
